361 driving offences in Corfu last week

Traffic Police carried out checks between 2 and 8 June  in Corfu, Lefkada, Zakynthos and Cephalonia.

- 2,094 vehicles were checked
- 768 offences were confirmed - 361 in Corfu, 147 in Cephalonia, 132 in Zakynthos and 128 in Lefkada. .
 

These included the following:

- 21 for driving under the influence
- 134 for speeding
- 7 for using a mobile phone whilst driving
- 13 for driving on the wrong side of the road
- 1 for running red lights
- 1 for driving dangerously
- 18 for not using seat belts
- 86 for not using helmets

- 37 for driving without a licence
- 34 for MOT violations

- 14 for no insurance

- 268 for illegal parking
