105 dangerous driving offences in Ionian Islands over the Epiphany period

CORFU. 1,614 vehicles were checked in the Ionian Islands and there was a total of 194 offences.
Between 2nd and 7th January, 26 traffic police units carried out checks on 1,614 vehicles in Corfu, Zakynthos, Lefkada and Cephalonia.
There were a total of 194 driving offences, including 105 considered dangerous.
The offences included:
- 24 speeding
- 2 driving under the influence
- 1 violating right of way
- 1 dangerous driving
- 35 not wearing seat belts
- 22 not wearing crash helmets
- 4 using mobile phone whilst driving
- 1 driving on the wrong side of the road
- 10 without driving licences
- 4 without MOT
