Transport Department employee assaulted by colleague

An employee at the Department of Transport and Communications has filed a complaint for physical harm after being the victim of an attack at work.

The incident took place on Monday, November 6, during office hours when the office was open to the public. For a trivial reason, the man allegedly attacked his colleague, and the intervention of another employee was needed to separate them.

The police were called to the scene, and the woman filed a complaint against her colleague for physical harm. She even had to go to hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

A case file is being drawn up by the Corfu Police Department as part of the investigation. The Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu, Kostas Zorbas, has also been informed about the incident. If the employee submits a relevant report to her supervisor, an internal investigation is expected to be ordered by the Regional Governor of the Ionian Islands.
