4-year-old girl drowns in Paxos swimming pool
PAXOS. The tragic incident occurred on Friday evening.
On Saturday (11:00), the parents and grandfather of the unfortunate little girl are being brought before the prosecutor. On Friday evening, according to testimonies, their only daughter, 4 years old, was found dead in a swimming pool.
The incident took place in the area of Kipiadi Loggos, where the family lived and worked.
It seems that the little girl, who was playing outside their home, slipped from her mother’s attention and reached a nearby house with a swimming pool, where under unclear circumstances she ended up in the water, which proved fatal.
The child, who was found after the desperate calls of her mother, was taken to the Paxos Health Centre, but doctors were unable to revive her.
The parents, who were working on the island of Paxos, were arrested and held at the police station. They are charged with exposing a minor to danger.
