The local community has been plunged into deep mourning following the tragic news of the death of 28-year-old motorcyclist K.G., who had been hospitalised in critical condition after a serious road accident on the morning of Thursday, March 12, in Ponti near Praktiker. Despite days of intensive medical efforts at the hospital, the young man could not be saved.
A case has already been filed against the driver of the car by the Corfu Traffic Police Department, and the matter is now moving forward through the justice system.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on March 12, in the Ponti area, near the Praktiker store. The collision between the motorcycle and the car was extremely violent, resulting in the 28-year-old sustaining critical injuries. He was taken by an ambulance and rushed to hospital.
To fully determine the causes that led to the young man’s death, an autopsy has been ordered.
