The Ionian Islands Region participated in Travel Expo Cyprus 2023 in Nicosia from April 21-23 for the first time.
This is the only tourism exhibition held in Cyprus, attracting more than 10,000 visitors every year, and this year it was upgraded by attracting more exhibitors from Cyprus, Greece and abroad.
Greece represents 40% of Cyprus' outbound tourism, being the most important foreign destination for Cypriots, according to official data from the Greek Embassy in Cyprus.
"The Ionian Islands Region takes advantage of every opportunity to showcase the competitive advantages of its tourism destinations, highlighting the uniqueness and special character of all its islands," said Ionian Islands Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa.
