CORFU. Ionian Islands Regional Authority officials expressed their satisfaction with the first day of exhibition, noting that the Ionian Islands booth is receiving many visitors, as the French market is one of the strong ones for our islands.

The Ionian Islands Region participated once again this year, for the fourth consecutive year, in the International Tourism Exhibition "International & French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa 2024" as co-exhibitor at the national booth of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO). 

The exhibition is taking place in the Port de Versailles- Parc des Expositions exhibition centre in Paris, from 17 to 19 September and is the leading International Tourism Exhibition in Europe, focusing on business tourism. It welcomes more than 50,000 visitors, with 30,000 of them being tourism professionals, and 1,175 exhibitors from more than 100 countries. The exhibition is a forum for networking and developing new partnerships for the tourism industry. 

The interest of the French in the Ionian Islands is significant and continues to grow. The Ionian Islands Region's booth was visited by tour operators, bloggers, airlines, and internationally renowned journalists (easyJet, aviapers, etc.), They had meetings with the Ionian Islands Regional Authority representatives, including the Head of the Regional Tourism Department, Magdalini Louvrou and the Head of the Development Planning Department Kiriaki Kiriaki, who were responsible for the booth. 

The booth was also visited by the new Secretary General of the GNTO, Andreas Ferentinos, and the Ambassador of Greece in Paris, Dimitrios Zevelakis.
