The President of Parliament informed Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas that the request for funding of €20,000 had been approved.
CORFU (Stefanos Gikas) In a meeting with the President of Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas, was informed about the approval of new financial aid from Parliament for the Capodistrias Museum.
The President of Parliament informed the MP that the request for a grant of €20,000 had been accepted in order to ensure the smooth operation of the Museum. This is the third consecutive and largest financial aid provided by the Hellenic Parliament to the Museum in the last three years.
Stefanos Gikas thanked Mr. Tasoulas and emphasised the importance of the Capodistrias Museum for both Corfu and the country, as it is the only museum dedicated to Ioannis Capodistrias. Mr. Gikas reiterated the request submitted by the Museum's administration for it to be placed under the auspices of the Hellenic Parliament and to receive regular annual funding.
