One lane closed on Ag.Prokopis-Chrysida road

CORFU. 15 firefighters and the Civil Protection Service are removing water from the road.
One lane of the road from the Eth. Achillion junction to Ag. Prokopis and Chrysida has just been closed in order to allow water to be pumped out of houses, basements and yards that have been flooded and from the road.
15 firefighters and the Civil Protection Service are on the scene. As reported in Enimerosi earlier, so much water had gathered there that as soon as the Fire Department and Civil Protection crews removed the water from the roads, the area flooded, and so it was decided to close the one lane.
According to the Fire Department, not many houses have been flooded but they are located in an area where a lot of water has gathered. Traffic is only going in the direction towards the Achillion and drivers need to take special care.
