Police seal off access to St. Spyridon

CORFU. There was a strong police presence this morning, 11 August, for the service and litany with the Sacred Relics of St. Spyridon inside the church.
Police guarded the entrance to the church and all access was sealed off with tape - in the St. Spyridon alley and the Plakada. Nobody was allowed past during the service and the litany with the Sacred Relics.
The Metropolitan Church did not allow photographing or filming by the media inside the church.
The Church broadcast the service and litany directly online as it will do for all the liturgical celebrations and vigils these days.
