CORFU. Corfu Police are investigating a new attack by the 46-year-old ΄Beast of Kavos΄ following a report from a 34-year-old woman.
The woman's husband had reported her missing to Lefkimmi police station on 7 May and she was eventually found by police this morning near Lefkimmi.
In a statement the husband said that the wanted man was a guest of the couple at their home the previous night but in the morning the 34-year-old wife had disappeared.
When the woman was found she gave a statement to the police saying that the 46-year-old known as the 'Beast of Kavos' had held her hostage and raped her at knifepoint.
She was examined at the hospital and Corfu Police are conducting a manhunt in order to arrest the man for rape and causing bodily injury.
The 46-year-old was sentenced to 52 years in prison for six rapes of British women but in November 2018 he was released, causing an outrage in the British press.
