Traffic measures in Corfu Town for Easter

CORFU. Special measures from Holy Wednesday (20/4) until Easter Saturday (23/4).
The meaures, along with the special car parks, aim to ensure that there is ease of access and mobility in the town centre for residents and visitors.
HOLY WEDNESDAY and HOLY THURSDAY 18:00-24:00
Roads closed
- Georgiou Theotoki in the direction towards Stam. Desylla - traffic will be diverted at San Rocco Sq.
- Viktoros Dousmani. Traffic will be diverted at Agoniston Polytechniou and the Old Fortress entrance. Only taxis and urban buses will be allowed.
One-way
- From the Douglas Column along Dimokratias Ave. towards NAOK.
GOOD FRIDAY
From 10:00
- One-way - Ioulia Andreadi and a section of Eth. Paleokastritsa until Capoukines, with traffic travelling from town towards Solari.
From 14:00
- Road closed - at the junction of Dimokratias Ave and Alexandras Ave (Douglas Column)
- Traffic diverted - at the junction of Stam. Desylla and Rizospaston Voulefton (traffic will be diverted towards Alexandras Ave.)
- Roads closed - the roads leading off Alexandras Ave towards the historic centre, especially Georgiou Theotoki and Rizospaston Voulefton
- One-way - Dimokratias Ave from Anemomylos to Douglas Column in the direction towards town.
- One-way - Mitropolitou Athanasiou from Douglas Column towards Desylla junction
From 18:00
- Road closed - Eleftheriou Venizelou, with traffic being diverted at the New Port roundabout
When all the measures are in force, the roads in the historic centre will be closed to traffic.
EASTER SATURDAY
The Good Friday measures will apply from 07:00 to 14:00 and from 19:00 to 01:00
No stopping or parking
- From 13:00 on Good Friday until 01:00 on Easter Saturday in Vas.Giorgiou A, Capodistriou, Arseniou, Donzelot, Zavitsianou
- From 13:00 on Good Friday until 13:00 on Easter Saturday in Agoniston Polytechniou (from Old Fortress entrance until Vas.Giorgiou A) and Viktoros Dousmani
- From 07:00 until 14:00 on Easter Saturday in Capodistriou (from Pentofanero to Moustoxidou)
Car Parks
Car parks will be available at the following locations:
- New Port
- Corfu National Sports Centre
- Garitsa Cemetery
There will be free shuttle buses to Corfu Town:
- From the New Port to Spilia
- From the National Sports Centre to Dimokratia Ave. and Alexandras Ave. junction (Douglas Column)
Any vehicles parked illegally will be towed away.
