Corfu Garden Festival 2025 at Capodistrias Museum

From Saturday, April 26, to Sunday, May 4, the Capodistrias Museum – Centre for Capodistrian Studies is participating in the Corfu Garden Festival, an annual event that invites you to explore the beauty of Corfu nature, with local island residents as hosts, offering a variety of nature-loving and environmental events.

As part of the Museum's participation in the Festival, visitors can:

Daily (except Mondays):

Take a self-guided tour of the historic garden of the Capodistrias Museum by following a marked outdoor trail with 16 stops. At each point, QR codes provide multimedia information about the history and vegetation of the historic garden of Koukouritsa.

Saturday, April 26:

"Natural Cultural Heritage: Gardening for Butterflies"
with Ms. Anna Sordina, Head of Educational Programmes at the CBC & Capodistrias Museum, with the support of the Ionian Environment Foundation.

The event will be followed by a walk through the Museum's Garden!

No registration is required.

Times: 11:00 AM (in English) and 12:30 PM (in Greek)
Duration: 1 hour

The Corfu Garden Festival began in 2018 as a two-day initiative and has since evolved into a themed festival with rich activities and events, providing access to gardens across the island! The Capodistrias Museum has been a consistent participant, located at the historic Capodistrias country estate in "Koukouritsa," in the village of Evropouli. Koukouritsa has been declared a Listed Historical Monument by the Ministry of Culture, as a representative example of Ionian urban countryside architecture and natural beauty.

The Capodistrias Museum and Garden are open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Admission to the Museum's Garden is free.
There is a ticket required for entry to the permanent exhibition on Ioannis Capodistrias.
