Ionian Islands Region at Thessaloniki International Tourism Exhibition
THESSALONIKI. This year΄s Thessaloniki International Tourism Exhibition featured a total of 342 exhibitors from Greece, with 24 countries from around the world represented.
The Ionian Islands Region had a booth at the 39th International Tourism Exhibition "Philoxenia 2024," which took place at the city's International Exhibition Centre from November 14 to 16.
The booth was visited by journalists, tour operators and travel agents from various countries, including the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, Armenia, Tunisia and more. They held a series of scheduled Back2Back meetings, with significant interest shown in the Ionian Islands.
The Ionian Islands Region was represented by the Deputy Regional Governor of Lefkada, Antonis Douvitsas, who said: "We must showcase our comparative advantages, namely the natural beauty and cultural richness that characterise all the islands of our Region."

A special highlight of the cultural promotion by the Ionian Islands Region was a performance by the dance group of the Thessaloniki "Saint Spyridon" Corfiot Association, which performed traditional dances from the Ionian Islands.
