Increase in number of international flights in July as well

According to a post from the Civil Aviation Authority Employees Union, July will close with 2,561 flights from international destinations, marking an increase of 105 flights and a percentage increase of 4.3%, compared to last year, when 2,456 flights were recorded in the corresponding period.
There were 782 flights from the UK (742 last year), 366 from Germany (401), 351 from Italy (307), 155 from France (153), 154 from Poland (161), 115 from the Czech Republic (106), 62 from Hungary (45), 57 from Switzerland (48), 55 from the Netherlands (55), 54 from Austria (62), 54 from Israel (40), 48 from Romania (49), 45 from Belgium (45) and 36 from Ireland (36).
According to another recent post by the union, Greece records the largest increase in air traffic across Europe compared to 2019, with +17%. It ranks 7th in the average daily number of flights. Interestingly, there is a significant increase in the number of flights between Greece and Italy & France.
However, regarding the data, the announcements for June's traffic show a discrepancy from those of Fraport. While the Union of Employees referred to an increase of 5.2%, Fraport recorded a 4.5% increase in international flights and a total increase of 4.8%.
