Hefty fine from Fire Department for burning grass in Kouramades

CORFU. Fire Department regulations explicitly prohibit the burning of agricultural and garden rubbish during the fire season.
A hefty fine of €2,964 was imposed by Corfu Fire Department, on Monday, May 13.
The fine was imposed because the individual engaged in burning crop rubbish in the Kouramades, Achilleion in Central Corfu, in violation of existing legislation.
Fire Department regulations explicitly prohibit the burning of agricultural and garden rubbish during the fire season, namely from May to October.
