Fire at Chrysiida main pumping station – Water supply cut off in Corfu Town

CORFU. All pumps are out of service.
A fire broke out at the main pumping station in Chrysiida in the early hours of Sunday, as announced by Central Corfu Mayor, Stefanos Poulimenos, in a post on social media. A crew from DEYAK has been on site since 4 a.m. All pumps are out of service, and there is a water supply outage throughout Corfu Town.
Efforts are underway to repair and restore the pumping station to operation.
