The children's department of Corfu Central Public History Library was filled with Christmas melodies today.
The library staff prepared a festive programme for pupils of special schools for yet another year, in collaboration with the Ionian University choir.
For the second year, Christina Kalliaridou, the director of the Ionian University choir department, along with her team of students, provided musical accompaniment for the Christmas celebration titled "The Magical Boxes".
The programme was organised by Sofia Tsatsani and Dimitra Karavida, with technical support provided by Marios Mayioladitis.
Pupils from the 1st and 2nd Special Kindergarten, as well as a section of Corfu 1st Special Primary School, participated in the festive programme.
The students, with their angelic voices, enchanted the school children and led them into a musical fairy tale starring our little friends.
The children from the special schools listened, sang, danced, and played along with Christmas carols and songs.
In the end, special treats and handmade Christmas bookmarks were handed out to both the pupils and the university students.
Next week, the library is getting ready to welcome pupils from the Special Vocational Training Centre.
