Thank-you letter from the Corfu Greek-Serbian Friendship Association

CORFU. The letter was sent to the Associations that participated in the autumn events organised in collaboration with the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate.

The Corfu Greek-Serbian Friendship Association, following the completion of the autumn events organised in collaboration with the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate, wished to express gratitude to the associations that participated.

The letter:

Following the conclusion of the Autumn Cultural and Artistic Events 2023, which our Association has been organising in collaboration with the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate in recent years, we would like to thank the boards and the artistic personnel of all the associations (symphony orchestras, philharmonic societies, choirs, soloists, and others) for their participation. We extend our thanks to all those who offered their contributions and participated in the Friendship and Solidarity events organised every year by the Corfu Greek-Serbian Friendship Association in conjunction with the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate in cities in Serbia, Bosnia, and Montenegro. The purpose of these events is to strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the Serbian and Greek people, as well as between the youth of Corfu and Serbia.

This year, during the first week (27/10-2/11), the Ai Mathia "Michalis Capodistrias" Artistic Society Mixed Choir took part in events, together with Serres Music School Symphony Orchestra, in the cities of Niš - Zlatibor - Herceg Novi, with soloists Maria Mavromati, Christos Capodistrias, Anastasia Kalfiotou, and Dora Kolitsi.

During the second week (10/11-15/11), the Anemomylos Mixed Choir, conducted by Panagis Barbatis, with soloists Pantelis Kontos, Gerasimos Andreatos, Elena Ristova and Spyros Doukakis, took part in events in the cities Pozarevac and Nis. Choir preparation by Andreas Gousis. Piano accompaniment by Sylvia Papa.

During the third week (16-20/11), Liapades Philharmonic Orchestra took part in events in the cities of Banja Luka and Šipovo conducted by Spyros Metallinos. We also express our gratitude to the Serbian artistic groups that participated in the concerts and events that were organised.
