Lessis and Himariotis in South Corfu go to second round on 15 October
CORFU. Nikos Goussis won Lefkimmi with 34.82% ahead of Kostas Lessis and Vassilis Himariotis.
Kostas Lessis and Vassilis Himariotis will go to a second round on Sunday, October 15th, for the South Corfu local elections.
With 100% of the polling stations reporting, the incumbent mayor received 32.82% of votes on Sunday 8th with Vassilis Himariotis following with 20.75%.
As for the other candidates, Nikos Goussis got 19.83%, Stamatis Pellais 18.15%, and Alexandros Alexakis 8.45%.
Based on the results of the first round, as recorded by the Ministry of Interior, Kostas Lessis won in the districts of Meliteio and Korission.
In the district of Lefkimmi, Nikos Goussis came first with 34.82% and 1,235 votes. Kostas Lessis came second with 25.71% and 912 votes, Stamatis Pellais third with 21.43% (760 votes), Vassilis Himariotis with 13.87% (492 votes), and Alexandros Alexakis with 4.17% (148 votes).
