CORFU. The work had begun just a few days after the fire, following immediate actions by the Ministry of Culture and the Corfu Inspectorate of Antiquities.
The work to repair St. George's Church roof in the Old Fortress, part of which had been destroyed by fire that was caused by lightning, has been completed. The work had begun just a few days after the fire, following immediate actions by the Ministry of Culture and the Corfu Inspectorate of Antiquities, while the contractor had been set up in the site quickly in order to carry out the necessary work.
