CORFU. Following the cleaning work at the New Fortress work has now begun at the Old Fortress.
Following the cleaning work at the New Fortress work has now begun at the Old Fortress. Specialist linemen with their equipment have begun at the Contra Fossa moat - removing the plants that have grown on the wall and led to its erosion.
The 'RHYTHM' project is part of the cross-border INTERREG Programme. The work includes cleaning up Contra Fossa, the rampart, renovation of parts of the walls, accessibility etc. and will continue until September
