Corfu woman amongst dead in train crash

The process of collecting genetic material is continuing in order to identify the bodies.

According to reliable Enimerosi sources, a Corfu woman is amongst those who died in the tragic train crash in Tempi.

Family members have been called to Larissa Hospital to give DNA samples in order to identify the body. According to the same sources, the family has requested that nothing be publicised about the identity of the deceased.

25 DNA samples were taken yesterday, which have been sent to a special lab in Athens in order to identify the corresponding number of bodies and the harrowing procedure for families of the victims is contnuing today.

To date the confirmed number of dead pulled out of the wreckage is 42, as announced by the Fire Brigade press officer Yiannis Artopios.

Other sources say that the number is 44 and it is expected to reach 55-56.
