Heavy rainfall and up to Force 9 gales expected in Ionian

CORFU. The new wave of adverse weather conditions is expected from late on Wednesday evening until Friday with heavy rainfall coming from the west.
According to the National Meteorological Service (EMY), a wave of bad weather is coming again from the west this evening with dangerous phenomena in some areas.
Heavy rainfall is expected in the Ionian Islands from late this evening - mainly Zakynthos, Cephalonia, Lefkada and Ithaki - as well as northwest Peloponnese and the western mainland and Epirus from tonight.
Gales of up to Force 8 and Force 9 are expected in the Ionian Islands.
Meteorologist Sakis Arnaoutoglou recommends that care be taken with the adverse conditions over the next 24 hours including Thursday morning in the southern Ionian Islands, mainly Cephalonia and Zakynthos.
