CORFU. The Mayor met with the Society΄s members and the President Alexandros Vergis to discuss all issues related to the redevelopment project.
The Central Corfu Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and the Deputy Mayors Nikos Kalogeros and Haris Yiotis met with the Society's members and the President Alexandros Vergis.
They discussed all the issues related to the redevelopment project. Mayor Meropi Ydraiou said that there are no rivalries nor should there be any room for conflicting logics. If there is a single opponent, it is the sad image of the Garitsa and Anemomylos Parks that has been maintained for years.
"We want to change this image, to turn the park into a green lung and a model of quality of life, so that it will attract everyone", said the Mayor.
There was a thorough discussion and the Mayor and the Deputy Mayors listened carefully to the Society's opinions. It was agreed to have another meeting as the project progresses and look for alternatives, if possible. Meropi Ydraiou stated that "solutions always exist. But they come through dialogue, cooperation and logic."
