CORFU. Interested contractors are required to submit their offers by 15 March.

Right on the deadline of February 9th set by the Ministry for projects included in the "Antonis Tritsis" programme, the redevelopment project of the tourist area from Tsaki to Messoghi, along the Corfu-Lefkimmi road, was finally auctioned by "EVDIMOS SA".

This is another project that was literally saved at the last minute, similar to the Kontokali School Centre (Municipality of Central Corfu), as otherwise it would have been excluded from the funding programme, and the secured funds of 5.9 million Euros (VAT included) would have been lost.

Deadlines

According to the terms of the auction, interested parties are invited to submit their bids online via the online portal www.promitheus.gov.gr of the National Online Public Procurement System. The deadline for submission of bids is set for Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., while the online unsealing of bids will take place on March 22 at 10:00 a.m.

Participation in the tender requires participants to deposit, in accordance with the terms of paragraph 1 of Article 72 of Law 4412/2016, a bid bond amounting to 95,161.29 Euros.

The overall deadline for the execution of the project is set at 18 months from the date of signing the contract.

On behalf of the Ionian Islands Regional Administration

The project's principal is the Ionian Islands Regional Administration, while its implementing body is the Local Government Development Agency "EVDIMOS SA," which is responsible for supervising, tendering, and selecting the contractor to proceed with its execution, on behalf of the Ionian Islands Regional Administration.

The Project

Once realized, the project will radically transform the coastline from the location of "Tsaki" in Benitses to Messoghi, facilitating pedestrian movement along a safe and scenic route. This includes the construction of pavements, recreational areas with kiosks, benches, and parking spaces.
