23rd Corfu Folklore Festival announced

CORFU. The festival is taking place a day before the national 28th October anniversary and will be participating in the celebrations with dance, song and traditional music.
The Laodama Association announced to all Cultural Societies which have dance groups that the 23rd Corfu Folklore Festival will be taking place at Corfu National Sports Centre indoor gymnasium on Thursday 27 October with the start time depending on the number of groups taking part.
The festival is taking place a day before the national 28th October anniversary and will be participating in the celebrations with dance, song and traditional music in collaboration with the Ionian Islands Regional Administration and the Central Corfu Municipality.
Children's groups (primary and secondary) will be able to take part in the festival and applications from adult dance groups will also be considered.
As part of the preparations representatives from the societies wishing to take part are invited to a Zoom meeting (information will be provided) at 10:00 on Sunday 9 October.
Meanwhile, preparations are also underway for the 24th Festival on the usual dates of 23-25 March 2023 and information will be available soon.
Please note the new Laodama office is at Ioannou Theotoki 104.
