2nd International Traditional Dance Festival “Corfu – In Memory of the Heroes”
CORFU. 24 and 25 September in the town historic centre: “Here, where history looks more beautiful, we dance in honour of those to whom we owe our freedom.”
Two wonderful days of concerts will take place in the most beautiful square in Corfu!
The International Festival “Corfu – In Memory of the Heroes”, a festival recognised by the European Festivals Association as a cultural event of European significance and holder of the prestigious EFFE Label 2026–2027, proudly opens its doors to the public.
Be part of this unique event and enjoy the rich traditions of song and dance! More than 20 dance groups from seven different countries will take part, along with groups from Corfu and Igoumenitsa. The dancers will be on the island from 21 to 26 September, while the official festival dates are 24 and 25 September. During their stay, they will also take part in a number of other activities, including a visit to the island of Vidos.
The festival promises a rich programme of theatrical performances and traditional dances, offering residents and visitors to the island a unique experience filled with rhythm, colour and traditional costumes.

Thursday, 24 September
18:00 – Official parade of participants through the streets of the Old Town
19:30 – Official opening ceremony and Gala concert of traditional dances
Friday, 25 September
18:00 – Official parade of participants through the streets of the Old Town
19:30 – Gala concert and festival closing ceremony
Parade Route: Bus Stop (2nd Junior High) → Serbian Museum (19 Moustoxydou Street) → Old Town Hall Square → Liston (Capodistriou Street – main pedestrian street) → Museum of Asian Art (Palace of St Michael and St George – west entrance)
