Central Corfu Municipality’s technical programme for 2022

CORFU. It will be discussed at the Municipal Council meeting on Friday 25 February at 18:00 via teleconference.

The Municipal Council will discuss and approve the Central Corfu Municipality’s technical programme for 2022 on Friday 25 February.
 
The Municipality’s Executive Committee unanimously approved the draft of the technical programme at a meeting on 2 February 2022.
 
11 out of 12 members were present at the meeting and, in particular, Mayor and President of the Executive Committee Meropi Ydraiou, Georgios Pantelios, Nikolaos Kalogeros, Ioannis Seremetis, Theoharis Giotis, Panagiotis Varouchas, Chrysoula Tombrou, Andreas Skoupouras, Panayiota Tzanne, Vassilios Argyros, Dimitrios Katehis, Alexandros Katehis.
 
The proposal of the Municipal Technical Works Department, as well as the Tables with the projects included in the technical programme’s proposal (Table of SATA projects, Table of SATA - Schools, Table of funded projects), had been presented to the members of the Executive Committee.
 
The draft of the Technical Programme of Projects for 2022 was prepared by the Financial Services Department, as part of the preparation of the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands’ budget and includes projects required to cover the Municipality’s needs.
 
 
The revenues
 
The proposed Technical Programme for 2022 takes into account the revenues from the following:
 
a) The total amount of the Municipality's subsidy from the Common Agricultural Policy (former SATA) is €1,341,420. From this amount, about €240,620 is being deducted annually for an investment loan of the former Capodistrias Municipality of Phaeaces. Thus, the amount is actually €1,100,800 for 2022 and €730,061 from previous financial years, making a total of €2,076,961.
 
b) The €246,100 credit to cover the cost for the repair and maintenance of school buildings (both for primary & secondary education)
 
d) The €1,446,780 credits for projects funded by the Collective Decisions for Regional Projects (SAEP) based on integration decisions.

The following table shows the sources of funds for the funded projects included in the technical programme for 2021.


 
The Executive Committee unanimously approved the draft of the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality Technical Programme for 2022, after taking into account the amendments to the titles of two projects in Table 2 “Projects & Studies – Funded (Category 64) – PDE (Public Investment Programme)”:

a) “Studies for the immediate response to landslides and other phenomena in the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality following severe weather conditions and floods (funded by PDE 055)” instead of: “Response to disasters caused by severe weather conditions (‘Ballos’ storm) on 14 October 2021”.
 
b) “Restoration projects for disasters caused by severe weather conditions and floods in the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality (funded by PDE 055)”, instead of: “Response to disasters caused by severe weather conditions and floods during the period November - December 2021”.
