CORFU. The 5th year class at ΄Athenagorio΄ Primary School has been suspended for the whole week.
The 5th year class at Corfu 4th Experimental ΄Athenagorio΄ Primary School has been suspended for the whole week due to Covid cases amongst the pupils.
According to the Ministry of Health protocol, for a class to be suspended, 50% of the pupils plus one must have Covid. The suspension of the class was also announced on the Education Ministry site, where the list of classes that have been suspended due to Covid-19 is updated in real time.
This week began with an increased number of cases in primary schools. According to the Ionian Islands Regional Education Department, 59 nursery and primary school pupils and 7 teachers tested positive for Covid. Tomorrow, pupils will have to produce negative self test results before being admitted.
