What Corfu Mayor requested from Employment Minister regarding council houses

CORFU. Employment Minister Kostis Hatzidakis & OAED Director Spyros Protopsaltis met this afternoon with Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou.
The meeting was preceded by the handing over of the last council houses in Agios Ioannis to those eligible.
During the discussion, the Mayor requested that landscaping work on the housing estate be carried out immediately by the contractor and the building that will house municipal shops and a multi-purpose space to be delivered to the Central Corfu Municipality, as provided for in the contract.
Ms. Ydraiou also requested the operation of a nursery in the estate and called for collaboration between the Central Corfu Municipality, OAED and DIADEYAK for the biological treatment plant at Skafonas, which will connect to the estate, as well as other nearby areas.
Mr. Hatzidakis responded positively to the Mayor's requests.
Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas and Deputy Mayor for Technical Works Nikos Kalogeros were also present at the meeting.
