Police attacked in Kavos

CORFU. Corfu Police Personnel Union has condemned the incident.
Police officers from OPKE (Special Crime Prevention Team) were attacked by three people in Kavos on Wednesday night resulting in one officer suffering serious head injuries.
The Police Union condemned the attack and President Nikos Bozikis said, "There are frequent police patrols in the area especially in the summer. During Wednesday night's patrol police were checking out a suspicious person when they were attacked from behind. As a result one of the officers suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital. We condemn these types of incident and expect everyone else to do so as well."
