Ionian Islands Region to provide 12 water tenders - one for each island

CORFU. The agreement between the Ionian Islands Regional Administration and the Municipalities for the provision of 12 water tenders has been signed.
As part of the co-funded programme 'Natural Disaster Management in the Ionian Islands' with a budget of 2,850,000 Euros and focussing on flooding and fires, the Ionian Islands Regional Administration will provide 12 fully-equipped water tenders - one for each island (Corfu, Paxos, Othoni, Erikoussa, Mathraki, Lefkada, Meganisi, Cephalonia, Ithaca, Kastos, Kalamos and Zakynthos).
Earlier this week the agreement between the Ionian Islands Regional Administration and the Municipalities was signed for the provision of 12 water tenders without payment.
The aim of the agreement is to improve the emergency services provided on all of the inhabited islands.
