Direct flights from Newcastle
ATHENS. Direct flights to Corfu and Rhodes.
EasyJet has announced a significant expansion of flights between the United Kingdom and Greece in time for summer 2026. On 23 March, the airline operated the first direct flight linking Newcastle with Corfu, with services scheduled twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. A new route between Newcastle and Rhodes will also launch on 31 March, operating every Tuesday and Saturday.
These new routes improve access from Northeast England to two of Greece’s most popular island destinations while providing more direct travel options for Greek travellers visiting the UK. The expansion is expected to boost tourism and strengthen economic and trade ties between the two countries.
EasyJet continues to invest in the Greek market, offering around 5.4 million seats to 132 European destinations for summer 2026. In particular, Corfu now benefits from 19 routes, significantly enhancing its international connectivity.
