North Corfu EPOMEA receives donation of petrol-powered pump from Arillas Cultural Initiative

In a significant step toward strengthening local safety and volunteer engagement, Arillas Cultural Initiative took action, underscoring the vital role local organisations can play as the backbone of civil protection during critical times.

With the official handover of a state-of-the-art petrol-powered pump to the Elite Special Missions Team (EPOMEA) of North Corfu, Arillas Cultural Initiative is actively strengthening the volunteers’ arsenal in the face of natural disasters and emergency situations.
In a statement, the leadership of North Corfu EPOMEA stressed the importance of this ongoing partnership. As the volunteers put it: “Thank you for not standing behind our efforts, but standing with us.” This phrase captures the spirit of collaboration between the two organisations, which has evolved into a deep bond of solidarity centered on the residents of North Corfu.
According to EPOMEA officials, the new pump is expected to be operational immediately, enhancing the team’s response speed in cases of flooding or other water-pumping needs in the area.
