CORFU. Officials from the Ministries of Rural Development and Environment, along with company experts, are overseeing the transfer to a certified facility.
A team of officials from the Ministry of Rural Development is expected to arrive on Wednesday to carry out an on-site inspection at the Goggakis facilities, which were damaged by the devastating fire.
According to journalistic sources, the purpose of the visit is to expedite the removal of the remaining animal waste — estimated to be about half of the original amount. Along with ministry officials, representatives from a certified transport company specialising in such cases are also expected, to move the material to an authorised facility.
