New ΄wave΄ of school trips to Corfu from Thursday
The number of 5-day school trips to the island has risen again due to the governmental decision to limit the number of trips abroad. Corfu business people welcome the fact that there hasn΄t been time for them to be manipulated as they were in the past.
Shark caught in Gulf of Patras - fishermen couldn΄t believe their eyes!
PATRAS. Fishermen from Kato Achaia couldn΄t beleive their eyes when, on of their usual fishing trips in the Gulf of Patras, they caught a long, heavy shark in their nets, which they dragged carefully back to the small harbour.
Road accident in Dassia: three people injured - two of them with just minor injuries
CORFU. Two vehicles were involved in a road accident just after 19:30 on Tuesday evening. The accident took place near the Ikos Hotel, Dassia.

Hellenic Navy vessel to attend opening of Erikousa port
CORFU. A special celebration is being prepared for the opening of Erikousa Port. The Corfu Port Authority (OLKE) President, who had been ‘guardian’ of the ‘orphan’ port, has asked the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff for a Navy vessel to come in order to give the event greater prestige, whilst also placing emphasis on the national importance of the infrastructure at the northwest Greek border.

Road accident in Potamos with injuries
CORFU. At about 8:30 on Saturday morning in the centre of Potamos (near the pizzeria) the driver of a jeep lost control and the vehicle overturned, trapping the driver and passenger inside.
