Motorbike protest convoy against Lefkimmi landfill

Some cars also joined the convoy, which has been organized by Lefkimmi Laiki Synelefsi (Popular Assembly), set off from Lefkimmi port and reached Corfu Town where it passed by the Town Hall (Marasli) before heading for the centre of town.



Their demands are:

Riot police (MAT) out of Lefkimmi - no landfills in Corfu - the closure of Lefkimmi and Temploni landfills - public integrated waste management system - proper water supply and sewerage system - no business interests and sponsors in Lefkimmi's protest fight.
