Man trapped on ladder in Gouvia rescued

CORFU. The rescue operation in Gouvia was completed shortly after 11:30am.
According to the Fire Service, the man was carrying out work on a storage building roof, when he slipped and became half trapped on the ladder. The Fire Service was called immediately by residents and rushed to the scene. Firefighters along with an EKAB ambulance proceeded to free him. The man has not suffered any serious injuries. However, he was taken by ambulance to Corfu Hospital for examinations.
