CORFU. The court found the man accused of domestic abuse on 14 September guilty.
The three-member Magistrates Court in Corfu sentenced the 45-year-old man to 14 months suspended for three years. The incident, which took place outside the 10th Primary School in Kanoni on the first day of school, had come to everyone's attention on the island.
The 40-year-old woman who was the victim of the assault reported the incident and filed a suit against her former husband for domestic violence and abuse. The accused presented himself voluntarily at the police station the following day.
