North Corfu Mayor sends letter to Government Minister Hadjidakis requesting the withdrawal of his Bill

North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris has requested from Minister Kosti Hadjidakis that the Energy & Environment Ministry's Bill be completely withdrawn.

The Mayor informed the Minister that the North Corfu Municipal Council voted on Monday 4 May. Out of a total of 27, 10 voted for the complete withdrawal and 5 voted that the Ionian Islands Region be excluded from it. According to Mr. Mahimaris, 2 Councillors who couldn't be present at the meeting for justifiable reasons said that they were also in favour of the complete withdrawal of the environmental Bill.
