CORFU. Four fines were issued at the weekend.
Corfu Fire Department issued four fines over the weekend for fires with branches and other farming rubbish that weren't properly controlled.
The fines imposed were €150-200 and firefighters had to extinguish fires in Lakones, Loutses and Velonades.
Measures regarding controlled fires have become stricter and fines are being imposed when necessary.
