Central Corfu Municipality makes positive contacts with tourism professionals at World Travel Market

Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and Deputy Mayor of Tourism Panayiotis Varouchas have held consecutive meetings over the past two days with several tourism organisations such as the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), representatives of Jet2 holidays, Aegean Airlines, as well as various individual and specialised agents in alternative forms of tourism, mainly related to the off-peak times of the tourist season.

As stated by the Mayor, the initial indications for the upcoming tourist season are positive. "Corfu's presence and the dynamism displayed at the large tourism exhibition in London are the result of a collective effort. The goal of participating in exhibitions of this kind, such as this major tourism exhibition in London, is to convey the most positive message about Corfu as a tourist destination."
