Large vaccination centre to be set up at the Municipal Theatre

CORFU. "Operation Blue Freedom" to be implemented in collaboration with Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality.
The Greek PM held an online meeting with Mayors and Regional Governors from tourist areas this morning and announced the "Blue Freedom" mass vaccination programme for permanent residents in tourist areas. The programme will be completed by the end of June and aims to support local communities and economies in the upcoming tourist season.
The programme will be based around large new vaccination centres which will carry out mass innoculations.
Mayor Meropi Ydraiou attended the meeting and is proceeding with the establishment of a 'Mega' vaccination centre in collaboration with 6th Health Region Director Mr. Karvelis, Corfu Hospital Administration and Corfu Medical Association.
The centre will operate at the Municipal Theatre and will be provided with all the necessary equipment and personnel.
