Woman, 60, arrested for animal welfare violations

CORFU. She was issued an administrative fine of 37,800 euros.
A 60-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday morning, 07/09, by officers from Achilleion Police Station, as, during the investigation of a complaint, a dead dog was found in the yard of her home. It was also discovered that three more dogs were present, without proper welfare or hygienic conditions.
A case file was formed against her for violations of animal welfare legislation and the Health Code.
She was issued an administrative fine of 37,800 euros.
The woman was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
