CORFU. For driving under the influence and illicit trading.
Three people were arrested on Monday, January 13. Two men were arrested for illegal street trading, and one for driving under the influence.
At approximately 6:30 pm, police officers arrested two men for engaging in outdoor trading without the required licence from the competent authority.
Also on Monday evening, at approximately 6:00 pm, a 48-year-old man was arrested by Traffic Police officers for driving under the influence.
A case of fraud is also being investigated. According to the report, an unknown individual called the victim pretending to be an accountant and, under the pretence of a refund from a government subsidy, managed to extract a sum of money.
