17-year-old arrested for car theft and attempted theft
CORFU. In the case file, the mother of the 17-year-old is also accused of neglecting her duty of supervision.
(Ionian Islands Regional Police Department) On Monday 9 December, a 17-year-old was arrested and faces charges of multiple thefts, both completed and attempted, committed repeatedly and in collaboration with others.
According to the police investigation, the 17-year-old, along with two other identified accomplices, attempted to steal a car in the Kyra Chrisikou area between Sunday night (8/12) and the early hours of Monday (9/12). They subsequently stole a car from the same area and a motorcycle from the Agios Ioannis area, both of which they later abandoned.
The case file compiled by the Corfu Crime Investigation Subdivision also includes charges against the 17-year-old’s mother for neglecting her duty of supervision.
The case file will be submitted to the Corfu Public Prosecutor's Office.
