CORFU. Video footage from the attack. The 17-year-old injured in the incident is being transferred from Ioannina to Patras for an embolism of the popliteal artery.

The 17-year-old perpetrator of the violent incident that took place on Wednesday afternoon in San Rocco Square is expected to be brought to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor today.

The preliminary investigation has been completed and a case file is being drawn up against A.R. by the Corfu Police. The police have gathered extensive material from cameras in the area to investigate the circumstances of the clash, and several eyewitnesses of the violent attack came forward yesterday to testify.

The perpetrator remained under observation at Corfu Hospital overnight and is expected to be discharged.

Also expected to be discharged from the hospital today is the 14-year-old (I.H.) who was attacked, resulting in a leg injury.

Ioannina to Patras and back

Meanwhile, the health condition of the 17-year-old (K.L.), who was injured when he attempted to intervene between the two boys, does not raise concern, according to medical sources. After being initially hospitalised at Corfu General Hospital, he was airlifted at 8 p.m. on Wednesday to Ioannina University Hospital, as his condition required further evaluation by a vascular surgeon due to the injury to his thigh. K.L. was transferred for precautionary reasons to examine the pseudoaneurysm, and according to available information, there was continuous and constant communication between the doctors of Corfu Hospital and Ioannina University Hospital regarding the young man's progress.

However, at 5 a.m., he was transferred by ambulance to Rio University Hospital in Patras to undergo embolism of the popliteal artery to stabilise it, as, although it was not burst, it was injured.

The Director of Ioannina University Hospital, Spyros Derdemizis, told Enimerosi that the 17-year-old is expected to return to Ioannina this afternoon, where he will remain hospitalised.
