The annual procession with sacred relics of Agia Theodora took place in Corfu Town today.
The procession takes place on the Sunday of Orthodoxy, setting off from Corfu Metropolitan Church and was established in 1985 by Archbishop Timothy. In 843 AD in Byzantium, thanks to her decisive contribution, Queen and later Saint Theodora put an end to the Iconoclastic controversy and contributed to the triumph of Orthodoxy.
