Construction of new biological treatment plant in Kinopiastes begins
CORFU. The contract was signed with the contractor - The project has a completion timeframe of 2 years.
Meropi Ydraiou, President of DIADEYADK and Central Corfu Mayor, signed the contract for the construction of the new Kinopiastes biological treatment plant with the representatives of the contracting company.
Meropi Ydraiou expressed her satisfaction for the completion of the demanding procedures and the inclusion of the project in the Recovery Fund, pointing out the competitive and demanding bureaucratic nature of this funding programme.
The project for the construction of a new biological treatment plant in the district of Achillio has a budget of €6,150,000, while the Recovery Fund will give €360,000 and will fund the three-year operation and maintenance service after the completion of the project. The project has a completion timeframe of 2 years.
"I am pleased that we have succeeded in obtaining funding and we are starting the implementation of this project as well. With the construction of a new biological treatment in Kinopiastes, a long-standing problem in the area will be solved. I hope that the implementation of the project will be completed on time, in a well-managed manner so that the quality of life of the area's residents will soon be improved," said Meropi Ydraiou.
